The building in the middle is the Federal Building so, of course, during the electricity shortage last summer, it was the building with consistently the most lights left on overnight. At the end of First Avenue is the King Street Station (look for its clock tower). It dates back to 1906. The 245-foot clock tower was closely modeled after the campanile at the Piazza de San Marco in Venice, Italy.
